In semiarid Paraguayan Chaco with temperatures of 45°C (113°F) reliable water supply is crucial for cattle farming.

The cattle farm “Los Toros” counts with 500 head cattle and extends over 9,000 hectar (22,250 acre).

feasibility study for water and power supply, with following features:

  • earth water basins for rain water collection (tajamares)
  • water capture from natural lagoon
  • photovoltaic solar pumps or wind power for water transport
  • photovoltaic power supply for electrical pens
  • “australian well” – elevated earth water reservoir
  • water distribution for watering places
