The project was planned to inprove the regional economic development, and rural living conditions. The different elements of the project embraced:

  • asphalt pavement of 120 km (75 miles) rural roads
  • 1.5 km (0.75 miles) road bridge over Jejui Guazú River

For the towns of Choré, General Elizardo Aquino, Villa del Rosario and:

  • pavement and drainage of vicinity roads
  • four sanitary sewer and sewage treatment systems servicing populations of 1.700, 2.240, 4,110 and 3,040 persons

For five rural settlements:

  • community center improvement
  • water supply, sanitation and off grid photovoltaic power supply

responsibilities

feasibility study:

  • definition of target populations and assessment of needs
  • development of aims, tasks and key figures
  • conceptual design for the most promising projects to reach the aims
  • estimate of costs and risks for the program and the individual
  • projects and project schedule
  • definition of the organizational framework
